As I posted in my last entry, I’ve had a pretty rough month. Actually came pretty close to having a complete meltdown this morning when I couldn’t find my box containing all my computer documents so I could call Dell to see if my computer was still covered under warranty. Decided to turn all my frustration into constructive energy, though, and actually sorted through a bunch of boxes of papers to gather important documents for my tax return.

Work and Karate

Slept from 4:30 until 7 am for only 3 and a half hours of sleep. Really not doing so well in the sleep department. Had a pretty easy day at work. Headed home and took a half nap from 5 pm till 6:30 pm before my karate “Tip Test” at 7. Once a month we have a “Tip Test” which is a sort of informal progress check.

Gym

We finished up around 9:30 and I rushed over to the gym to work out for 15 minutes...

Work

Slept from 2 am until 6 am. for only 4 hours of sleep. Still not doing great in the sleep department this week. Woke up starving, so I guess I actually was really hungry the night before despite how much food I ate. Had another busy day at work, but at least I still managed to get out on time. I also noticed my pants are looser because I had to keep pulling them up despite wearing a belt.

Storm

My area got hit by a huge storm last night. Went to bed by 3:00 am, but the rain wind were so loud, it was difficult to fall asleep. I was still tossing and turning well after 3:30 am. And then every time I finally started to doze off, I would hear the sound of something that sounded like it was about to be torn off the roof and would jolt awake to peek out the window and make sure everything was still in tact. No idea how much sleep...

House Cleaning and Hummus

I slept from 3:15 am until 10:30 am. Spent the morning cleaning house to get ready for the Maryland Jedi Chapter meeting and also made some homemade hummus from scratch. The recipe included 1 can of chickpeas with reserved liquid, sesame seeds (to substitute for tahini), cumin, and 2 minced garlic cloves. I used my mini food processor to blend everything, added a little bit of the reserved liquid to smooth it out,...
