This was just something I was thinking about earlier this week and thought I'd pop my head in and ask the question. Do you view the Force as an allie?

But, of course... How would we survive without it? Or could we?

Not really as that implies that it is a separate and unique entity or energy that I rely on for help and guidance. As I don't view it as such I wouldn't consider it an Allie so much as an extension that I at times have a greater amount of connectivity to then at other times.

An example I could give is of a limb that has "fallen asleep" say an arm. Normally while I can interact with it freely and use it to accomplish tasks I need done. When it's asleep I can't and it takes time and effort to do the same tasks. Simply in reverse where the normal state is that of the limb being asleep and with time and effort it can be awakened for a short period to enable you to perform the tasks needed then it goes back to sleep.
