My name is Frederick, I am a 26 year old male living in Oxnard, California with my wife and mother. I serve in the United States Army Reserve.
I came to the Jedi path after realizing that I had been working on myself for all the wrong reasons. I was working from an egotistical and selfish mindset, to the point of shutting out my wife and mother. When the catalyst that brought this realization came about, I finally felt how ragged my body, mind, emotions, and spirit were, how much I had worn them down. I was working from a place of anger, hate, and disdain for people, thinking myself better than them. The veil lifted, and I saw that I wasn't any better and that, in essence, I was harming the world. I loved, and still love, the natural world, but I was leaving out one peice of it all: people. By not expressing the same emotion for people that I did for non-human animals, I was actually hindering growth, both personally and socially.
After having studied many, many religions, I felt that none of them fit me as they were, but then I looked into the Jedi path, and this is where I have found what I needed, the path that will aid me in my search for personal and universal betterment.
I greatly look forward to interacting with all of you fine folks.
