I haven't posted here in a while, and I apologize if I'm intruding here, but it's for a good cause.

Start Time: Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 5:00pm
End Time: Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 1:00am
Location: Back of the Bee-Maypearl, Texas

Description .This fundraiser is being held to raise funds for two children (Kaitlyn and Waylon, ages: 7 and 6), whose mother is terminally ill. The mother (my sister) has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, Cirrhosis, and multiple infections. She was released from the hospital three days ago, and no one knows whether she will make it or not. Due to the mother's condition, the children have been placed with their paternal grandmother (who has limited funds, as well), as their mother cannot care for them at this time. We need to pull together to raise as much money for this family as we can. Let's do it for the kids' sake, if for no other reason. The grandmother was gracious enough to take them in and we need to help her out as much as possible.

These children truly need everything. Your help and your prayers and blessings are most appreciated!!!

Appearing at this event: Villains and Tigers, Greg Baggerly, and Mikey Terry and Greg Mathers...other performers may be playing as well. There will also be a silent auction. If anyone would like to donate an item/basket for the silent auction, or you would like to help out in any way, please contact: Andrea Hendryx 2149516684. An account for the children is currently being set up. Thank you all in advance.

RyuJin,

It really is, and I felt kinda bad about advertising here, but Aimee and Adam and I know one another, and I didn't think she would mind. :) I'm trying to do whatever I can to help these kids and their mother. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

These are the kinds of things we need to hear more of. We need never stop someone posting something like this for anyone!!

I hope the event goes wonderful!!

i fully agree with the above, i don't foresee any legitimate charity posts ever being removed or blocked, it simply wouldn't be the jedi thing to do.

now those annoying "work from home ads" is a whole other story ;)

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Definitely sending healing thoughts and energy her way. If you have a way to set up online donations, I might try to send something.

Aimee, an account has been set up and they allow electronic transfers from bank to bank.

Here's the info:
If anyone would like to make a monetary donation to the kids, and/or their mother, an account is now set up at Citizens National Bank of Texas (1-877-938-4300). Please make the donations out to: Kaitlyn and Waylon Benefit. Thank you!
