Is there a such thing as a decent lightsaber for less then $100?

There are sites that show you how to make your own for much less often and similar look, usually all you need is some form of adhesive and some parts.

You could try the E-series lightsabers from Ultra Sabers. I have three of these...well to be more precise my two little boys and husband have these. They are quite tough,I've had them for a year and the boys haven't succeeding in breaking them yet, though the on-off switch went on one of them. It was fairly easy to solder in a replacement. They aren't the prettiest though, the handles are plastic and spray painted. They also have a 'Ultra Sabers Standard Issue Saber ' which has a steel hilt and heavy duty blade for $69.

You can try the ones they sell at the toy stores and see how you like them but most are pretty expensive. Ebay is an option but read the discriptions carefully since most of them are damaged in some way.
